Haradon Family Update....

As I'm sure most people know, life with a newborn can be a little crazy, so please excuse the delay in updating the blog.  Anyhow, life for J, Coop, Bando and myself has been great!

Cooper's First Bath....

Cooper, clearly, does not enjoy the water or being naked!  He has done much better in his more recent baths since these first bath photos were taken, but still whines and knows how to make me feel awful for having to bathe him!

Christmas with the Family....

We had a beautiful Christmas and got to spend some time with our San Diego family that we don't see nearly as often as I'd like.  I hope all of our friends and family that we didn't get to see had a great holiday and are preparing for an even better 2009!

BEING A MOMMY......

Being a mommy is everything I ever thought it would be.  Wonderful, beautiful, tiring, and so much more.  Cooper is doing great and getting bigger and more beautiful every day!  He had his first checkup yesterday and passed with flying colors.  Bando and Cooper are getting along just like brothers!  Bando is super protective of Coop and runs to him any time he makes a noise.
As for J and I, we are finally adjusting to our new roles and lives.  Luckily, Coop is sleeping about 6-7 hours a night (about 3-4 hours at a time), so we haven't been too sleep deprived.  I miss the little things, like going to the grocery store or Target!  I am so lucky I have J...I send him to do everything and he never complains!
Thank goodness for wonderful husbands, coffee, and dulce de leche ice cream!

INTRODUCING COOPER JOHN HARADON...

We'd like to introduce our son, Cooper John Haradon.  Born on November 28, 2008 at 10:39 pm.  Weighing in at 8 lbs. 14oz. and 21 in. long...he put me through an exhausting 13 hours of labor and 3 epidurals!
J was absolutely amazing and held my hand the whole way.  I now understand what makes mothers so amazing, they have to go through so much to become one!
Cooper is wonderful and exhausting!  He is incredibly alert and is big, steel blue eyes are always searching for something new.  He and Bando are getting along great, thank goodness.
Thank you to all of our friends and family who have been their to support us!  We love and appreciate you!
We'll send more info soon...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

I hope everyone had a very happy Thanksgiving and enjoyed turkey day...I know I did!  It was my last meal before going into labor and I enjoyed it to the fullest!  As you can see, my family thought it would be fun to take some final pictures of "the belly" before the baby was born.  Let's just say that they're lucky they're family and I love them!

HAPPY DAYS!

As many of you know, my due date is rapidly approaching! J and I have been cramming in all the chores and activities needed before the baby comes. I finally convinced him to relax! We still cleaned, (of course), but we also had a great relaxing weekend! Although this weekend was a lazy one, J and I had a great time doing some of the things that make us happy...we spent Saturday night at the Kings game with our close friends, Tim & Ali ( I finally got to see the hockey fight I've been waiting for!), we taught (or tried to teach) Bando to catch a Frisbee, and we ate!

Baby count: 18 days away!!!

WE'RE STILL LOOKING FOR THE BULLY...

We're still looking for the bully that did this to Diva (Bando's cousin)!

BANDO HATES US!!!

Being the cruel parents that we are, we dressed Bando up as a Rooster for Halloween...which lasted for about 30 seconds! Sadly, it was worth it to watch him get himself out of it!!! And he looked soooo cute!

What's Worse: Giving Birth or Kidney Stones?

After finding out that a certain family member, who shall remain unidentified for her own protection from too many jokes, has kidney stones... I did a little research.  Apparently, the pain from passing kidney stones is far worse than giving birth.  I'm sure all you mothers out there will challenge this theory, I have yet to experience either.  (not for long!)

For my "Lucky Friend", grab hold, grit your teeth, and push!  That's what everyone keeps telling me to do!

(Good Luck Jack...what does anonymous mean?! - J)

WHAT UP YO!!!!

J and I decided the best way to keep you all updated on our expanding family, was to create this awesome blog page about our family. :)  As you all know, we already have a special, but wonderful dog BANDO!!!  Bando is soon to be a big brother to our first child, Cooper John Haradon.

That's all for now.  I didn't realize a blog was so much work and seeing as though I'm due in 5 weeks...yes I said 5 weeks, I'd rather eat and sleep than type all day!!!!
